Candidates for Municipal Office must meet the following requirements:

1. Be a citizen of the United States of America

2. Be a registered voter in Davidson County and reside in the jurisdictional limits of the office sought 

3. Be at least 21 years of age on or before November 4, 2025 (Election Day) 

*Candidates for the Lexington City Schools Board of Education At-Large seat must live within the Lexington City School District but not inside of the Lexington City Limits. Potential candidates should check their Voter Profile under "Your Jurisdictions" and look for "Lexington City District 07 " as their School District. NOTE: While the candidates for this seat are limited to those in this specialized jurisdiction, all voters within the Lexington City School District will have this contest on their ballot. This is set forth by Session Law 2017-61 from the North Carolina General Assembly. 

**There are no seats up for election this year for voters who live in the Davidson County portion of the City of High Point**

***Candidate Filing for the 2025 Municipal Elections begins at 8:00am on July 7, 2025 at the Davidson County Board of Elections office located at 945 North Main Street, Suite A, Lexington, NC 27292. It will end promptly at 12 noon on July 18, 2025.***
